He is a Principal Investigator for the NCATS Biomedical Data Translator, co-Investigator for the NIH Data Commons Pilots, and a Principal Investigator in the Dutch National Research Agenda. His research focuses on the development of computational methods for scalable integration and reproducible analysis of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) data and services. Dr. Dumontier will serve as an expert in ontologies and linked data, coordinate the work at Maastricht University, and serve as a point of contact with a variety of international efforts.
